Decentralised Mechanical Extract Ventilaton (dMEV)
Fresh Air, Room by Room
Modern homes are more airtight than ever which is great for energy efficiency, but not always for air quality. That’s where Xpelair’s dMEV solutions come in. Designed to continuously extract stale, humid air from individual rooms, dMEV systems are the smart, compliant way to ensure healthier indoor environments.
How does dMEV work?
A decentralised Mechanical Extract Ventilation (dMEV) system incorporates continuously running fans, designed to remove odours and humid air out of single wet rooms such as bathrooms and kitchens. dMEV fans operate continuously in each wet room of the property. They run at a low (trickle) speed unless boost speeds are activated by either an external switch or humidity. Because the fans are always in operation they provide a fantastic method of ensuring properties are always well-ventilated.
Why Choose Xpelair dMEV?
Targeted Ventilation
Install fans directly in wet rooms such as bathrooms, kitchens, and utility spaces to remove moisture and pollutants at the source.
Ideal for New Builds & Retrofits
Perfect for smaller dwellings or retrofit projects where whole-house ducted systems aren’t practical.
Ultra-Quiet Operation
Xpelair’s CV4 fans feature near-silent performance with advanced Ghost™ Air Movement and Adaptiflow™ sensing.
Energy Efficient
Low Specific Fan Power (SFP) and brushless DC motors ensure minimal energy use.
Near-Silent Constant Volume dMEV Axial Extract Fans
Simply Silent™ CV4
The Simply Silent™ CV4 range of dMEV fans has been designed to offer exceptionally low noise levels, while delivering a constant volume of extracted air to reduce humidity, condensation and mould growth in bathrooms, shower rooms, cloakrooms, toilets and kitchens.
